Get ready to embrace the winter wonderland *snow or shine* at Chapman State Park this Saturday, February 3rd! Winterfest promises a day filled with exciting events and family-friendly activities, all set against the picturesque backdrop of Chapman Dam Rd, Clarendon, PA.
Event Details:
- Date and Time: This Saturday, February 3rd, starting at 10 am.
- Location: Chapman State Park, 4790 Chapman Dam Rd, Clarendon, PA 16313. All events and activities take place on the beach side of the park.
- Admission: Free for all!
Main Event Tent and Vendors: The heart of the action lies at Parking Lot 1, where the main event tent hosts a variety of vendors offering unique and handmade items. Some highlights include:

- Sled Dogs and Demonstrations: Join the excitement of the Sled Dogs of Smokey Hill cardboard races and demonstrations.

Food Options: Satisfy your taste buds with a range of delicious options from various food vendors, including Brick Oven (pizza), Dad's Food Truck (toasted sandwiches), Apthorp Concession (hot dogs, french fries, walking taco)

- Embark on an organized mountain bike ride led by Warren Cycle Shop, departing at 10 am from the main event tent.
- Experience the charm of Double C Ranch Carriage Service with horse-drawn carriage rides from 10 am to 3 pm ($5 per person).

- Witness thrilling canine weight pulls
- Don't miss the Sled Dogs of Smokey Hill cardboard races and demonstrations, including a dog meet & greet.
Educational Activities:
- Engage in educational and family activities hosted by DCNR, including a snowshoeing demonstration, trivia quest, nature education activities, winter birding, and the chance to make your own bird feeder.
- The Glade Volunteer Fire Dept Water Rescue offers an ice cutting and safety demonstration right before the Polar Plunge at 2:00.
